Do you live to run? Do you plan your day around your running? Do you try to get everyone you know to start running?
If you answered yes to any of these, you may have the runs. If you answered yes to ALL of them, you definitely do!

Running Down a Dream

So I'm a few days away from running my next race, and as with the week before any big race, I begin to have the running dreams. Most of the time they are random and don't warrant any attention. However there is one dream that I have before every race.

I'm cruising through the race course when my legs start pulling closer and closer together until the right foot crosses the left one and I'm reduced to an awkward skipping motion. At this point I am forced to sit on the street and pull my legs apart. It takes a lot of strength to get my legs back to the right position. I then stretch my inner thigh as best I can before I start running again

This works for about a mile before my feet start crossing again and I'm forced to repeat the process. This continues throughout the race until I hobble across the finish line.

I have no idea what this dream means, but I have it EVERY time I'm about to run a big race. Interested in what it could possibly mean I decided that this time I'd look up some dream interpretation sites to see if I could figure it out.

Since it's a pretty simple dream I figured I only had to look up a few key words:  Running, Crossed Legs, Stretch. I chose to use the Dream Dictionary for my interpretation.

Running - "To dream that you are trying to run but cannot make your feet move as fast as you want them to, signifies lack of self-esteem and self-confidence"

Crossed Legs - "If you dream that you are crossing your legs, then it implies defensiveness or your close minded attitude"

Stretching - "To dream that you are stretching, suggests that you are in need of some relaxation."

So apparently the dream is telling me that I need to buy a really big TV, an Xbox 360, and spend my nights playing video games while eating Funyuns and drinking grape soda. What? That's not what you got from the interpretation? Fine! I guess it could also be telling me to relax, take it easy and just enjoy the run without worrying about my time or placing.
